mineral green copper carbonate basic Molecular formula: CuCO3•Cu(OH)2Molecular weight: 221.10 Properties: Amorphous powder green to blue or dark green monoclinic crystal. Soluble in acid and aqueous ammonia, dissolved in acid and form corresponding copper salt, soluble in cyanide, sodium hydroxide, ammonium and alkali metal carbonate aqueous solution to form copper complexes. Insoluble in cold water, almost insoluble in water and ethanol. Solubility in water is 0.0008%. The relative density is 4.0. Low toxicity. Irritant. Use:1)Prepare other cupric salts.
